Latrobe Advance  Wed, Sep 18, 1889
On Wednesday evening last, in the Presbyterian church, at Pleasant Unity, Miss
Sadie E., daughter of George Fortney, Esq., to Mr. Byron H. Porter of
Minneapolis, Colorado. Promptly at 8 o'clock, to the strains of Mendelsohn's
wedding march the high contracting parties moved up the isle, attended by the
brides sister, Miss Jo. L. Fortney and Jno. C. Stockberger. The officiating
clergymen were Revs. Robert F. Smith the brother-in-law, and E. L. Porter, the
brother of the groom. After the ceremony the party returned to the brides
residence where they received the congratulations of their friends. Mr. and Mrs.
Porter will, after a several weeks visit to eastern friends leave for their
western home...
