Latrobe Bulletin Wed, Apr 25, 1923
A beautiful home wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Calvin
Marks, last evening at 6:30 o'clock, when their daughter, Daisy Gertrude, was
united in marriage to Robert Gibson, of Turtle Creek. Rev. W. E. Bauer performed
the ceremony, using the ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a white crepe de
chine wedding dress. The wedding couple were attended by Charles Stahl and Miss
Genevieve Goodman. Besides the patents of the bride, following parties were
present: Margaret, Stella, Nina and Edward Marks; Eli Hughes, the grand father
of the bride; Mrs. Stella Gibson of Latrobe, mother of the groom; Mr and Mrs. J.
P. Stroble, of Ardmore; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Gibson and children; Margaret and
Wilbert Jr., of Derry; Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Mershon and children; Ruth and Oma of
Youngstown; Mrs. John McKenna; Mrs. Mary Campbell and son, Donald, of Baggaley;
and Mrs. W. E. Bauer. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served. Mr. anal
Mrs. Gibson were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents. Mr. and
Mrs. Gibson expect to make their home in Turtle Creek.
