We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Will of Sarah Beatty, widow of Hamilton Beatty Sarah Beatty died May 31, 1879 In the name of God, Amen..I, Sarah Beatty of Unity Township, Westmoreland County, State of Pennsylvania, being weak of body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding , praise be to God for the same, and considering the uncertainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and that to the end that I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me, hence do make, declare ,and establish this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First and principally, I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, my Creator, hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins, and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the Heavenly Kingdom, thru Jesus Christ, my Savior. My body I commit to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors, herein after named Then I will and devise that all my just debts as shall by me owing at my death, together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proving of, or otherwise concerning this, my last will and testament shall in the first place be fully paid and satisfied , and from and after payment thereof and subject thereto, then I will and bequest my three daughters, Nancy, intermarried with John George, Martha, intermarried with Joseph Baldridge, and Sarah, intermarried with Major Samuel Adams, all my estate of whatever kind I may be possessed of at my death, to be divided among the three, share and share alike, with the exception of one bed and bedding and my brown mare, which I will and bequeath to George Adams, my grandson. And I hereby make, constitute and appoint William Anderson my executor and revoke all former wills that I may have made, declare this to be my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal , this twentyninth day of February, 1872 Sarah (X) Beatty, her mark Signed, sealed, and acknowledged by the testator to be her last will and testament in the presence of us and in the presence of each other Sam Adams, James A.
