Will of James Beverly [Belford] 547, page 369-370-371. In the name of God Amen, I JAMES BEVERLY of the county of Westmoreland in the State of Pennsylvania in the Township of North Huntington, Being very sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding, blessed be God for the same but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form as follows to wit: Principally and first of all, I commend my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as to such workly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give and dispose in the following manner to wit, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, MAREY one equal half part of all the household and kitchen furniture, one mare, bridle and saddle, her own bed and my large Bible and one hundred & twenty dollars (Page 371) in cash to be paid to her yearly and every year during her natural life. I bequeath unto RACHEL MCKINNEY the wife of JOHN MCKINNEY fifty pounds payable in two years after my decease. I bequeath unto JAMES BEVERLY MCKINNEY, son of JOHN MCKINNEY fifty pounds payable in two years after my decease. I bequeath unto MAREY RANKINS of Ireland ten dollars. I bequeath unto JEAN WALLIS five dollars. I bequeath unto MARGRAT CLEMENS five dollars and I bequeath unto JAMES GANT five dollars and as touching all the resideue and remainder of my estate real and personal of what kind or nature soever the same may be in the County of Westmoreland aforesaid in the State aforesaid or else where unto JOHN GANT of the County and State aforesaid. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint JOHN GANT and PAUL WARDEN to be my Executors of this my last will hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequeaths by me heretofore made and declaring this to be my last will and testament. In witness hereunto, signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said testator as his last will and testament in the presents of us who in his presents and at his request have subscribed as witnesses this fourth day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifteen. Westmoreland County, SS, Personally before me Register in and for said County came FRANCIS ANDREWS and JOHN ANDREWS who on their solemn oaths deposeth and sayeth that they were present and saw JAMES BEVERLY the testator in said will named who is now deceased seal make his mark and declare the same to be his last will and testament that at the time of his so doing he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that they signed in his presents and at his request that the names of these deponants is in their own proper hand writing.
