I may be the better prepared to leave this world when ever it shall please God to call me hence. Do therefore make + declare this my last will + testament in manner following--that is to say first + principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping for free pardon and remissions of all my sins + to enjoy Everlasting happiness in the heavenly kingdom through Jesus Christ my savior--my body I commit to the Earth at the Discretion of Executors herein after named + as to Such worldly Estate wherein it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give + dispose of the same in the following manner--to wit--I will that all my Just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral Expences and all charges touching the proving of--or otherwise concerning this my will Shall in the first place out of my personal Estate and Effort be fully paid + satisfied and from and after payment thereof + subject there to--all the remainder of my Personal Estate, to wit, two hundred + ten dollars in Cash--Seventy four Dollars (arrears?) of pay due to me from the board of war one feather bed and beding all my kitchen and table Furniture with all out standing debts due to me I give and bequeath to my loving Niece Elizabeth BOYD daugter of my brother(s?) (?) [possibly "Hugh"] --Together with a land warrant for one hundred + sixty acres Military bounty land Number Eight thousand Six hundred + Sixty three which is deposited in the general land (office?) at the seat of Government thereto await my orders for its (?), which I also Give and bequeath to my said Niece Elizabeth BOYD to her + her heirs for ever and lastly I make and ordain John ROBERTSON of the township aforesaid Executor of this my last will + Testiment hereby revokeing all other wills + bequests by me made and declaring (this?) First as to the property now (?) possess in Frankling Township Adams County I do dispose of the Same in the following manner Secondly I hereby direct my Executors to Sell and dispose of Same to pay my Just debts off, thirdly, I direct my Executors to Sell the Land that George MARSH Now lives on If the property that I own possess in Frankling Township Adams County cannot be Sold to pay my debts off Fourthly I divise and bequeath unto my loving Daughter Catharine the Sum of Three Hundred Dollars if the Land is Sold to pay my debts off that George MASH lives on I direct my Executors to pay my Loving Daughter Catharine out of It, and if not I direct them to pay her out of the rent of it till she is paid, Fifthly I divise and bequeath unto my loving Daughters Matilda Jean and Ann Elizabeth and Hariot the sum of two hundred and Sixty-Six Dollars and Sixty Six cents a piece when they come of age Sixthly I divise and bequeath the Land I now live on Between my three sons Benjamin Alexander + William each and every one of them to equeal Share in the land Seventhly I divise and bequeath unto my loving Wife the Land I now live on during her lifetime as long as she remains my widow Eightly My Five Daughters Matilda, Jean, Elizabeth, Ann and Hariot is to have their Schooling, Beds and Bedding saddles and Clothing living off the Land I now live on Ninthly I direct my Executors to sell my personal property only what will Support the family Lastly I hereby Nominate Constitute and appoint my Wife Ann BOYD and Benjamin BOYD my son my Executors of this my last will and testament I do hereby Revoke and Annul any Will or Wills I have made at any time in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand + Seal this 25th day of February AD 182?
