Wills: Charles Henderson Sr., 1832: Fairfield Twp, Westmoreland Co I Charles Henderson of Fairfield Township Westmoreland County & State of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made: and first I direct that My Body be decently intured in the burying ground at Mr. Swan's Meeting house at the direction of my Executor herein after named; and first it is my Will that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible, and it is my will that my Executors may sell that part or piece of land that I purchased being part of my father's Estate as soon as possible and make a clean deed to the purchasers free from all Incumbrances and also a lot of Land in Fairfield Village and make a clear deed of the same to the purchasers; According to their Agreement and the amount of Said places to pay my Just debts and funeral Expenses, And also it is my will that my beloved wife shall own and possess my plantation where I now possess with all my stock and household furniture, as long as she lives and continues as my Widow, and to have the care and Guardianship of my children Until the boys arrive at the age of Sixteen Years and then find them to trades, and Give all the children as much Education as her circumstance will permit; and if my wife Should die or marry Again then all my property real and personal to be valued and Sold to the Best advantage, and the amount to be Divided among my beloved children Share and Share alike and if any of my children Should die before they have any Ofspring, then share to be divided among the Surviving children Share and Share alike and be paid to such survivors, or survivors of them living at the time of distribution, and lastly I nominate my beloved wife and Esteemed neighbor Barachia Stuart, Executors of this my last will and testament in witness Where of I Charles Henderson the testator have to this my will written on one Sheet of paper set my hand this 16th day of February; - in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two Charles Henderson Signed sealed, and delivered in the presence of us who have Subscribed in the presence of each other Thomas M. Henderson Jn McAbee Snr Westmoreland County Pa. Personally came before me Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters of Administration in and for this County. John M. McAbee testified the the foregoing With the Wife of Charles Henderson Snr. who on his Solemn Oath Saith that he witnessed and saw Charles Henderson the testator there named execute said Will by putting his Mark thereto. And at the time of the execution thereof he was of Sound Mind and Understanding. That he Signed as a Witness thereto in the will of the testator. Same of Thomas M. Henderson the other Witness.
