I Gasper Hill of Fairfield Township County of Westmoreland County & state of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body but of sound memory and understanding praised be God for it & considering the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the End that I may be beter prepared to leave this world Whenever it should pleas God to call me hence do therefore make & declare this my last will and testament in the manner following that is to say first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator - my body I commit to the Earth at the discretion of my executors herein after named. I will that all my Just debts as shall be by me owing at the time of my Death together with my funeral expences and all things touching the proving or otherwise Concerning this my will Shall in the first place out of my estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied. I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Phoeby one bed bed cloathes & bedstead two Cows & and all my sheep & all my kitchen Furniture & also the North side of my tract of land where my mansion house & barn is til a small Run or draft (?) that Runs through said place During her natural Life and to have all the timber that is on said land it being the one half of the land I now live on & also two hundred Dollars I give and bequeath unto my son Isaac all the tract of land that I now live on with the appurtenances by his paying (illegible) Dollars per acre for the same - the one half South sides of a small Run - he is to have possession of immediately after my my decease and also one half of my barn and the other half of my said land he is to have possession of at the Death of my loving Wife to the said Isaac Hill his heirs and (assigns) forever & said Isaac to pay the last half at his mother's death. I give and bequeath unto my son John the one half of the land he now lives being the side where the house & barn & Cleared land is with the appurtenances & to his heirs forever. If said John does not choose to keep said land then my Will is that it be sold by my executors and that my son John shall have an equal share of my estate after all my Bequests and all other Debts are paid with the rest of my Children. I give and Bequeath unto my son Samuel the West half of said land where my powder ( ) is located during his life & that my will is that his heirs & children should have said land with the appurtenances forever. I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Mary ann one bed bed cloths & bedstead & one cow & liberty of living in my mansion house while she remains single. I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Catherine one bed bed Cloathes and one Cow & bedstead & one horse creture and liberty of living in my mansion house while she remains single. It is my will that after all my Just debts and all Charges Concerning my estate as well as the Bequests so aforementioned shall be fully paid & Satisfied the Clear balance of all monies of my estate shall be equally Divided share & share alike Between my sons Jacob Robert & Casper & John if he does not take the bequest of land aforesaid and my daughter Sarah intermarried with abraham Myers & Mary Ann, Catharine & Elizabeth intermarried with Isaac Swatswalter. My will is that my son Isaac do have an Equal share with the Last above named Children by retaining it out of the price of the land I have bequeathed to him and to pay for the first half of the land in one year after my decease and for the other half price of the land in one year after the decease of my loving wife one hundred Dollars and one hundred a yearly until all is paid and I make and ordain my sons John Hill & Jacob Hill Executors of this my last will and testament in Witness Whereof I Gasper Hill the testator have set my hand & seal the ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand and Eight hundred and thirty three.
