These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. #43 of 1864 In the name of God,amen, I Abraham Hixon of the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to have this world, when it shall, please God to call me hence, do therefore publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following that is to say:- 1st, My will is, that the expenses of my last sickness and funeral be first paid. 2nd, All past debts by me owing, at the time of my death. 3rd, That the balance of my personal property be given to my Dearly beloved Wife Mariah Hixon. 4th, I give and devise to my dearly beloved wife, my farm, in Westmoreland County on wich I now reside, until my youngest son Noah Hixon arrives at the age of 21 years then to be disposed of according to law and to be equally divided between my 10 children, Catherine intermarried with Joseph Wible, Mary intermarried with Abraham Love, Julian intermarried with William Johnston, Jane intermarried with Nathaniel King, David S Hixon, Anjaline intermarried with Ervin King, Levi, Aron, Robert, Noah. 5th, Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint Mariah Hixon my beloved wife of the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania to be the executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me hereto fore made, ratifying and confirming this. In testimony whereof, I have thereunto set my hand and seal, this 16th day of June in the year of our Lord 1862. Abraham Hixon Signed, sealed, published and declared, by Abraham Hixon the above named testator as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence, have subscribed our names as wittnesses thereto. Jacob Billhimer Daniel Snyder Abraham Hixon, late of South Huntingdon Township, Deceased Legally, Proved and Approved this 8th day of July A.D. 1864, Same day recorded and the executor having declined, letters of Administration cum test annexor, issued to Levi Zimmerman who was Sworn before me, Wm. C. Guffey, Register. Westmoreland County Before me Wm C Guffey, Register of Wills to in and for said County personally appeared Jacob Billhimer and Daniel Snyder the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing written will of Abraham Hixon, dead, who being duly Sworn according to law do say they were present and saw the said testator sign his name to the end thereof and heard him publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament, that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, memory and understanding and that they signed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence and at the request of said testator and in the presence of each other.
