Will Book #4, pg 195 1 of 1 of 1858 Johnathan Peal's Will #2149 In the name of God, Amen. I Johnathan Peal of [Fairfield] Township in Westmoreland County and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound dis[pos]ive mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following. viz. It is my will that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executor hereafter mentioned out of my personal estate. Item I bequeath to my beloved wife Hannah -- all my Household furniture. Item. It is my will that my beloved wife Hannah receive an equal share with my eight children Mary, Margaret, Elisabeth, Jane, John Alexander, Amanda, James [Thompson] and Ema. My will is for my wife and children to recive there and share alike of my estate except for the above bequeath to my wife. Item. I give and bequeath to my son John Alexander, my gold watch and chain. Item. My will is that my Executor retain and put out the portion which will be coming to my daughter Elisabeth on interest and pay her the interest yearly so long as she lives and at her death then to go to her children equally and my will is provided my Executor should die before my daughter that then my son John Alexander will see to putting the mony bequeathed to my daughter Elisabeth and paying her the interest yearly. Item. My will is for my son-in-law Thomas P. Mc[Coy] to be guardian for my daughter Ema -- And I hereby constitute and appoint my son-in-law William Graham my Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and annulling all former wills by me made at any time. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and this thirteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven. SIGNED - J.
