Westmoreland County Register of Wills, 4WB547 1864 No 58 of 1864 Wills: Mary ROBBINS 2523 In the name of God amen I Mary Robbins of Hempfield Township Westmoreland County State of Pennsylvania being old blind feeble and in a delicate State of health but of sound mind memory and understanding thanks to the almighty god for the same thing mindful of my mortality do make and constitute this my last Will and Testament First and principally I commend my immortal spirit to God who gave it in hope of a joyful resurection and my body to the earth when it shall please God to Seperate my soul and body My body to be entered decently at the discretion of my Executor * and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me with I give and dispose thereof in the following manner First I Will and devise the amount of a note and the interest thereon. I hold against the Rev John Ansley (editors note: Ainsley?) now in the hands H. Markle Esquire to the children of my son James Goodlin deceased share and share alike which is to be in full of their share of my estate Second to my daughter Elizabeth Jordan I will and devise any bed bedsted and bedding that I laid on Third to my daughter Mariah Hays I will and devide one bead bedding and bedstid and Fourth to my daughter July Ann I will and devise one fether cover one red and blew quilt and one blanket and as to the rest and residue of my personal effects whatever there may be I allow my Executor to dispose of the same as the law directs * and collect all my outstanding debts dues and demands whatever they may be and out of the first moneys arising from any part thereof pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and allowing my Executor to have suitable grave stones with proper inscriptions thereon set to my grave as soon as convenient after my decease and the costs and charges of the stone and erecting the same is also to be taken out of the first moneys coming into the hands of my Executor and as to the rest and residue of my estate after costs and charges in setting.* are paid I allow any balance remaining to be divided into six shares equal one share thereof I devise to my daughter Elizabeth Jordan and one share to my daughter Polly Sheaner and one share to my daughter July Ann Hays and one share to my daughter Mariah Hays and one share to the heirs of my son William Goodlin deceased and one share to my son John Goodlin being the six shares to be share and share alike and further it is my will in the event that my son John Goodlin should not want his share or come for it in that case I want his share divided equal amongs the five of my last named heirs * and further it is my will. that the share of my son William Goodlin heirs suffer a deduction of ninety five dollars being money he got from me in his life time I also have given my daughter Mariah Hays one hundred dollars for which sum I hold her bill and allow her share to suffer that deduction * and lastly I nominate and appoint my neighbour George Mechling Esq of Hempfield Township Westmoreland County to be my Execu of this my last will and Testament I publish and declare this and none other to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty first day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine (1859 Signed and Sealed in the presence Jeremiah Hemp Mary (her mark) Robbins James McIntire Legally Proved and Approved this 8th day of November A.D. 1864 Same day recorded 9th Nov 1864 Letters Testamentary issued to George Mechling who was sworn before me W. C. Guffey Register Note by the recorder I certify that the probate of the above will of Mary Robbins had affixed thereon stamps of the U.S. Int Reserve (ed. note Revenue?) to the balance of one dollar which stamps were cancelled W. C. Guffey Register
