     NOTE: John was married twice, 1st to Roseanne Williams who died in
                       1817 and then to Elizabeth ????

              Will of John Ross b. Abt 1774 - February 4, 1827

        I John Ross of Donegal Township Westmoreland County State of
       Pennsylvania being weak of body but of sound mind & memory and
      calling to mind the certainty of death do make & constitute this
     my last will and testament first I allow my funeral expenses to be
        paid and all my just debts Item I bequeath to my loving wife
     Elizabeth one cow of her choice & all my Bedding and I desire that
     my plantation be rented out for seven years by my executors herein
     after mentioned and the proceeds of the said place paid over to my
     wife for the support of herself and children and at the expiration
      of the said seven years I wish the place to be sold for the best
       price that can be gotten for the same and I wish the same to be
     equally divided amongst my children & widow except my sons James &
       Thomas I allow them each to get the one forth part of a childs
     share and I do allow any Cloth Wool Flax or Yarn that may be above
       my house to be divided with my wife & her children and my sons
       John Jos E & David and it is my desire that my sons be put out
      apprentice to trades so soon as the same can be conveniently done
      after my death and my younger sons I wish to be put out to trades
        as soon thereafter as my executors may think proper Lastly I
        nominated & constitute Jas ? Jones and Adam Dowling my lawful
           Executors to this my last will & testament Revoking and
        disannulling all former will and testament made by me signed
      sealed this twenty ninth day of September in the year of our lord
     one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight Signed & Sealed in the
