Westmoreland County Register of Wills, 2WB406 1838 Daniel SHANER In the name of God amen, I Daniel Shaner of West Newton, Westmoreland County, and the state of Pennsylvania being of sound mind memory and understanding, Do make and constitute this my last will and Testament in manner and form following to wit. My soul I commend into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent Christian like manner. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Hester the one third of the one undivided half of the proceeds of the farm on which my son William Shener now lives to be delivered to her in the bushel it is also my will that she have the use of front room up stairs in which there is a fireplace. She is also to be provided with firewood and coal by my son William at his own expense all this to be done for her comfort during her natural life. I also give her all my household furniture, and the balance of my personal property to be sold and after my debts are paid the money to be put out on interest. It is my will that the whole of my money belonging to my estate be put to interest by my Executors hereinafter mentioned and the said interest to be paid to my wife yearly and every year during her natural life. It is also my will that my wife shall have pasture for a cow and foder as long as she chooses. It is my will that after the death of my wife my son William is to have the refusal of the one undivided half of the farm he now lives on by paying twelve hundred dollars in six annual payments. I give and bequeath my daughter Eliza and to her heirs the Millhouse lot containing nine acres more or less except fifty feet of the Coal bank beginning at the line of Simmeral and to run fifty feet parallell with Simmerals line fifty feet in breadth all the way. It is my wish that my son William is to have the last mentioned Coal bank and if he does not take it, it is to go to my said daughter Eliza and her heirs. It is also my will that after the death of my wife the money belonging to my estate to be divided equally between my fore children viz John Peggy George and Eliza. It is my will that my daughter Peggys share be put to interest for her use and after her death it is to be divided equally amongst her heirs _ I hereby constitute and appoint John Marshall and Brintnel R. Newlon Executors of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills made by me.
