Westmoreland County Register of Wills 6WB62 No 41 of 1875 Will of William SHANER De'cd on the 5" August 1875 about 10 oCk A.M. Last will and testament of William Shaner of North Huntingdon township Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. I William Shaner being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. first I direct that my body be decently interred in the ground second I direct that amediately after my decease that my household furniture be equally divided between my two daughters Barbara Ann McLwain and Catharine Shaner and any of my sons wives that may be there living reserving one bed and bedding for my son Daniel Shaner third I then direct that my Executor hereinafter appointed shall sell the farm containing sixty seven acres more or less underlaid with coal and on which I now reside to the best possible advantage and make such disposal of it as I shall hereafter direct fourth I direct that first all my legal debts and liabilities be paid out of the proceeds of the sale of my real estate fifth I direct my Executor to have three thousand dollars of the price for which the said farm may sell for on interest secured by Bond and Mortgage from the purchaser of the said farm during the natural life of my son Daniel Shaner. the said interest to be paid semiannually and applyed to the support of my son afforesaid sixth I then direct my Executor to divide the balance of what my real estate may sell for (reserving the three thousand dollars) in equal shares among my other children "viz" Frederick Shaner John M Shaner Barbara Ann Shaner (now McLwain) Catharine Shaner now Wiley Cornelius Shaner and Henry Shaner share and share alike Seventh I then direct that after the decease of my son Daniel Shaner that the said three thousand dollars remaining on interest in the farm afforesaid be collected and equally divided between my sons and daughters then living and should any of them die before my son Daniel leaving children what would have been the parents share shall be divided amonxt their children equally and should any of them die without issue then their share to be divided equally with those that may be living and the heirs of any that may be dead over. Eighth I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Mr John Gaut to be my Executor and to have this my last will and testament put in force and carried out. In Witness Whereof I William Shaner the testator have to this my will written on three single sheets of paper set my hand and seal this 26th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two (1872) William Shaner (seal) Signed sealed published and declared by the above named William Shaner as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have here- unto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto in the presence of the testator and of each other J.
