Transcription of a photocopy of William Wilson, Sr's will, Registration #1670: "Whereas, I, William Wilson of Sewickley Township in the County of Westmoreland and state of Pennsylvania, being weak in body, but of sound mind, memory & understanding for which favours I feel thankful to the Jesus of all good--I do now think right to make this my will this twenty second day of August eighteen hundred and forty six. And in the first place I will my soul to God who gave it - and in the second place I will and bequeath to my wife Margaret as much of the kitchen furniture as she thinks necessary to keep - all her cupboard furniture - her saddle - all her beds bedding and bedsteads - one cow - and thirty dollars in money to be paid to her each year during her natural life - together with the one half of the kitchen and house in which we now live as long as she chooses to hold it. I will and bequeath to my son Jacob six hundred dollars including what he has got; I will to my son William eight hundred dollars including what he has got - I will to my son Finley six hundred dollars including what he has got - I will to my oldest daughter Anne Graham three hundred dollars to be paid to her in three annual payments - I will to my daughter Elizabeth Taylor three hundred dollars to be paid to her in three annual payments - I will to my daughter Rebecca Nash three hundred dollars to be paid to her in three annual payments - I also will that my wearing appearal be equally divided among my three sons - And whatever may remain of my estate after paying my funeral expences and the within named bequests shall be divided amongst my within named children, share and share alike - I consider that John Ong has got his full share of my estate And lastly I constitute and appoint my son Jacob Wilson and George Gilbert my Executors to execute this my will. his William X Wilson (Seal) mark The above was acknowledged in the presence of us the day and year above written.
