We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Will Book 2 1819-1839 pages 282-283 Will of In the name of God amen I,James Woods of North Hunting- James Woods ton,Westmoreland County and State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body but of sound mind & memory and understanding (praised be God for it) And considering the uncertainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me. Therefore make and declare this is my last will & test- ament hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made in the manner of offering that is to say just and completely I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping for full pardon & remission of all my sins And to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Savior my body I commend to the earth at the descretion of my executors herein after named And I give all my messuages,lands,tenement & I Will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my personal Expenses And all charges pending the proving or otherwise satisfied and from and after the payment thereof I give and bequeath to my son William Woods all the residue with all its appurtenances provided he shall and will within three years from and after my death pay to my other children as follows to wit; namely to my daughter Mary Davison seven- ty dollars,to the heirs of John Woods seventy dollars of which his sons James & John are to receive five dollars each more than an equal share,to my daughter Jane Blackburn seventy dollars,To my son James Woods seventy dollars,To my son Alexander Woods seventy dollars, To the heirs of Margaret Reed seventy dollars,To my daughter Fanny And- erson seventy dollars,to my daughter Rebecca Robins heirs seventy Dollars, to my son Matthew Woods seventy dollars. And ordain my sons Alexander and William Woods executors of this my last will And test- ament And further in case there shall arise any disputes as to the settlement of any part of my will I appoint William Parks and Adam Coon which two shall choose & attend to the settle the same whose decision shall be final. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
