Citizens' Voice  Sat, Jul 02, 1988, Wilkes-Barre
Mrs. Aletha (Peg) Matusavige, Centermoreland, died Friday morning in General
Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Brooklyn, Susquehanna County,
Feb. 17, 1923, she was a daughter of Mrs. Reva Ring Schooley, Great Bend, and
the late Fred Schooley. Mrs. Matusavige was a member of Centermoreland United
Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, George L.; son, George
A., Vernon; daughters, Mrs. Sally Stewart, Seven Lakes, N.C.; Mrs. Karen Welch,
Tunkhannock; Mrs. Marie Anderson, Centermoreland; sisters, Mrs. Kathleen King
and Mrs. Carol Ralston, New Milford; Mrs. Janet Holtzman, Binghamton, N.Y.;
eight grandchildren. Funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from Sheldon-Kukuchka
Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. Birney Kellogg of
Centermoreland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in
Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
