Myers, 69, of Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming, died Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1929, in Centermoreland, he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Blanche (Agnew) Myers. He was a 1948 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Alaska. He was employed as a machinist, working in Wyoming most of his life. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Wyoming. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his sons, the Rev. Gary, Meshoppen; and Mark, Springville; daughters, Vicky Penover, Norristown; and Teresa Blow, Waverly, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Robert Myers, Denison, Texas; and Glenn Brandon, Davenport, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sheldon Funeral Home on Main Street in Meshoppen. The Rev. Judson Poole, of Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church, will officiate. Friends my call from 1 p.m. until the time of services Saturday.
