(Barnett) Anderson, was born September 3, 1853, in Lower Chanceford Township, and was educated in the public schools. At the age of seventeen years he began to learn the carpenter’s trade, which he pursued until 1875, when he commenced farming. In 1882 he began the business of canning fruits, as manager for the firm of Kilgore & Co. He was married, in 1876, to Ida Kilgore, daughter of Samuel Kilgore. They have two children: Samuel and Hugh. Mr. Anderson is a lineal representative of one of the first settlers of his township.
