ARNOLD, son of Jacob and Sarah (Leib) Arnold, of West Manchester Township, was born August 5, 1849, at East Berlin, Adams Co., Penn. Mr. Arnold received a common school education. He learned is trade (miller) with his father and has always followed that occupation; he thoroughly understands his business, and at present has charge of one of the best equipped mills in York County – Matthew Tyler’s mill. Mr. Arnold married Amanda Allison, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Musser) Allison, of York, Penn. This marriage has been blessed with five children: Arthur E., Nettie K., Howard E. (deceased), Claude A. and Mammie B. (deceased).
