JACOB K. BUDDING, son of Levi and Catharine Budding, of Wrightsville, was born 
January 27, 1857, is of German descent, and was reared on the home farm.  He was 
educated at the district school and also attended the normal school at 
Millersville.  In 1880 he entered into partnership with his brother, Joseph B. 
Budding, in the mercantile business at Yorkana, at which point he is at present 
assistant postmaster.
