FORRY, son of Henry Forry, Sr., of Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County, was born April 23, 1846. Reared a farmer, he commenced on his own account in 1869; in 1875 he bought a dwelling and sixteen acres of land in Andersontown, and engaged in growing small fruits and garden truck; he now ships about 5,000 boxes of strawberries each season, together with raspberries, blackberries, grapes, etc. Mr. Forry served during the late war, until August, 1865, in Company F, One Hundred and Ninety-second Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, under Col. Stewart, and received an honorable discharge. He was married June 21, 1868, to Lydia A., daughter of Henry Kimmel, of Monaghan Township, and the result of this union is Laura Ellen, born February 18, 1874. Mr. and Mrs. Forry are members of the Bethel Church.
