KREBS was born in Codorus Township, June 19, 1859; he remained in the township until thirteen years of age, being taught in the district schools. He was the second of four sons of Adam and Mary (Warren) Krebs. When eighteen years old he began farming for himself, which he is still engaged in. September 18, 1881, he was married to Lucy Shaffer, daughter of Daniel Shaffer, a prominent farmer in Shrewsbury Township, and has two children: Harry C. and Allen. Mr. Krebs is a member of the Lutheran Church.
