KUNKEL, miller, was born March 12, 1862, in York County, Penn.; son of Elijah and Mary A. (Bennedict) Kunkel, natives of York County, Penn. His great-grandfather was a native of Germany, and came to America in its early history. The father of subject was born in 1838; he was a miller by occupation, but is now living a retired life in Warrington Township. Jacob B., like his paternal ancestors, followed the milling business, having served a regular apprenticeship at the miller’s trade. In 1882 he took charge of his father’s mill, and is doing a successful business. He was married, in 1881, to Miss Mary E. Spangler, daughter of Jacob Spangler. They have one son – Marl Elijah. Mr. Kunkel is a Democrat.
