Learning the trade of cooper and brewer he has followed it all his life. He immigrated to America in 1861. He has since been engaged at his trade in New York, Lancaster, Philadelphia, and since 1869, in York. Since 1878 he has been engaged in the bottling business, in connection with that of a cooper. Mr. Mack was married in 1863, to Annie Rinehart, also of German ancestry. They have seven living children: Charles W., Annie, Lizzie, Fred, William, George and Frederike.
