RICHARD MCDONALD, son of Robert and Lydia (Payne) McDonald, of York County, was 
born in 1833 in Hopewell Township, and has always resided in York County.  He was 
married in 1867 to Mary McWilliams, daughter of James McWilliams, of York County.  
They have five children:  Richard T., Robert G., May C., Harriet and Margaret A.  
Mr. McDonald purchased the farm of 150 acres, on which he lives, in 1865.
