Battey Publishing Co., 1886. _______________________________________________ Part II, Biographical Sketches, Fawn Township, Pg 104 DAVID PYLE, son of Abram and Harriet (Payne) Pyle, of Chester County, Penn., was born March 8, 1835, in Chester County, Penn. He came in 1831, to York County, Penn., with his parents, who settled in Fawn Township, where they remained until their death. He was married, in 1857, to Huldah J. Torbert, daughter of Andrew and Susan (Jones) Torbert, of Fawn Grove. By this union they have had two children, of whom one is living – Abram. Mr. Pyle holds the position of collector of Fawn Township at present. Abram Pyle, son of the above, is a miller by trade and is engaged with J. R. Wiley, at Rock Run Mills.
