Battey Publishing Co., 1886. _______________________________________________ Part II, Biographical Sketches, Spring Garden Township, Pg 192 ISAAC RUNK was born December 3, 1829, and is a son of John and Lydia Runk. He embarked in business at Frystown, in 1854, and has continued there up to the present time. He carried a well selected line of dry goods and groceries, and has established a good business. Mr. Runk is one of the prominent citizens of the township, and is the present auditor. He is a member of the Spring Garden Relief Association. In January, 1855, he married Miss Eliza Fry, daughter of George and Mary (Spangler) Fry. By this union there were born five children: Emma F., deceased, Adda L., Mary A., Irena A. and Cora A.
