(condensed from this point) George Allewalt Klinefelter was born in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania April 13, 1860. His parents were George Deal and Deliah (Allewalt) Klinefelter, the latter a daughter of Jake Allewalt of Shrewsbury, Penn. George Deal Klinefelter, who was a native of Shrewsbury, Penn. and a son of George Klinefelter, engaged in business as a grain merchant on Light Street, in Baltimore, Md. to the time of his retirement. As prosperity attended his well- directed efforts, he made investments in other states. He passed away in Hanover, Penn. aged 82 years. To him and his wife were born two children, the younger being a daughter who died in infancy. George A. married Sarah Bertha Young of Wm. Jacob and Louisa Catharine Young.
