Cemetery: Bentz Burial Grounds (now at Warrington Meetinghouse), Warrington Township, York County, Pennsylvania From Wellsville, take 74 east out of town, it is on the right at Quaker Meeting Road (Warrington Meetinghouse) To get to the old burial ground, take 74 west out of Wellsville, follow 74 to the right on the Carlisle Road, turn right on Ridge Road just after the bend, turn left onto Spring Valley Road, turn right onto Willow Road, Willow Road dead ends at the old Bentz Farm and Burial Ground. The Farm is now owned by Ed Vinarski. Call before entering the property. There is still an old stone at the Burial Ground. Aged 37 years 4 months & 4 days. Three unmarked stones (possibly for infants of Jacob and Mary Jacob Bentz) The following stones were moved from the Bentz Burial Grounds to Warrington Meeting House Cemetery. Along with a new memorial stone which reads: "This area Honors the Bentz Burial Plot of Warrington Twp. and it's 1762 land grant founders. Frederick Roose b. 5 Mar 1712, d. 24 Mar 1785 Christina Roose b. 9 Jan 1716, d. 28 March 1785 Mathias Hollopeter, son in law 1728-1779 and Hannah Roose, Rosanna Roose, Jacob Pentz, Susannah Pentz, Christina Schearer, J.P., Sarah Wiley, and all others buried there that are not recorded above. Stones erected 1981 by Roose descendants" This list represents the readable stones that were moved from the Bentz Burial Grounds to Warrington Meeting House.
