Fairview Mutual Fire Insurance Company – This company was organized, about six 
years ago, as a local co-operative association for mutual protection against 
fire.  The following is a list of the names of the board of managers:  Henry 
Atticks, president; D. Smith, secretary; John S. Prowell, treasurer; Andrew 
Sipe, John Eichinger, and John T. Zinn.  The company has been remarkably 
fortunate since its existence, having had only one or two small losses to pay.
