A school was well kept in it nine months of the year, for a long time. Different religious denominations were allowed the use of the building. It was finally rented by the township directors for public school purposes. A few years ago it was torn down and the present excellent school building put up on the same site by the township authorities at a cost of $1,200. Of this sum P. H. Glatfelter contributed $600 gratis. J. A. Dempwolf was the architect and Michael Little, contractor.
