In January, of that year, George Ensminger deeded to Jacob Reiff and John Felker, one acre of ground for a church southwest of town. The building stood more than half a century. Some of the clergymen who ministered to the small congregation were Revs. Lauer, Kessler, Speck, Wibely, Seiffert, Dasher, and Pfahler. The present church was built in 1873. Mr. Wollet donated the land. It is located a short distance northwest of the town. It was built under the auspices of John Strominger, Jacob M. Kilmore and Henderson Bare, as trustees. There are now no regular services.
