Longstown is a hamlet, located in the extreme eastern end of York Township.  John 
Long for many years kept a store there, and his father had a tavern on the same 
site.

A United Brethren Church was build in the immediate vicinity about 1869.  Caleb 
Horn and Jacob Keidler were the first trustees.
