The Lower Windsor Fire Insurance Company was organized in 1879.  It has 
been in successful operation ever since.  The present board of directors 
are Joseph Gilbert, president; Gerard C. Brown, secretary; Samuel Burg, 
treasurer; Henry Burg, H. H. Sprenkle, Henry Thomas, Rudolph Neiman, 
John Tschoop, J. Lieberknecht, Samuel Libhart and Jacob Leber.
