Reis H. Althouse and Benjamin Hengst were the first ministers of this church to preach in the vicinity. The religious services which they conducted were held in a school house. A very comfortable and convenient church was built some years ago. A Sunday-school of ninety-five members regularly meets in it, and is superintended by Rev. G. Jackson.
