The schools of the borough at this time, are seven in number, under the charge of Prof. D. H. Gardner as principal, and are properly graded, and have an active and efficient corps of teachers. The school term is seven months. The district has one of the finest school buildings in the county, having four large schoolrooms on each of the first and second floors, while the third floor, which is at present not needed for school purposes, will furnish room for four additional schools when needed.
