All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rosalie Sommer sommer@suscom.net March 30, 2006, 4:26 pm Fawn Township Written: April 15, 1823 Recorded: April 24, 1823 DEED 3G, 348 - 350, York County, Pennsylvania GRANTOR (seller): Levi BADDERS administrator of George BADDERS GRANTEE (buyer): William BADDERS written: 15 April 1823 recorded: 24 April 1823 location: Fawn Twp. acres: 225 acres and 112 perches cost: $2033.53, the thereof to be paid in hand in the other and six equal annual payments without interest ---------- To all Men, Whereas George and BADDERS late of Fawn Township of York County and State of Pennsylvania died intestate seat of a plantation and tract to a land situate and in said Fawn Township containing two hundred and twenty five acres in one hundred and twelve perches and usual allowance for roads today and whereas in after his death Levi BADDERS was duly appointed administrator of the goods and chattels of the estate of George BADDERS aforesaid deceased by the Register of Wills and creating letters of administration and for the County of York, and where as diverse legal proceedings were had in the Orphans Court of York County and an order made to the said Levi BADDERS administrator as aforesaid ordering him to sell the said plantation and whereas in provisions of said order the said Levi BADDERS and by authority thereof exposed to plantations and tract of land the public sale, as the same had been fixed and ordered by the Orphans Court aforesaid and the same was struck off and sold to William BADDERS with a sum of two thousand and thirty three dollars and fifty three cents, the one half thereof to be paid in hand in the other and six equal annual payments without interest which reported sale was duly returned to the Orphans Court at the session of said court held at York on the eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three. All which proceedings will appear at large on the Records of said Orphans Court. Now it be known if that in pursuance and of the premises and by the authority of the Orphans Court aforesaid in and for the consideration of two thousand and thirty three and fifty three cents, the one half of this same to be paid in hand the other to be paid in equal sixth annual payments. The said Levi BADDERS administrator of aforesaid has granted bargained and sold and by these presents does grant bargain and sell to the said William BADDERS unto his heirs and (wherefore crossed out - alien written over) alien all that aforesaid Plantation and that the land situate in Fawn Township, York County, late the property of George BADDERS aforesaid deceased containing two hundred and twenty five acres and one hundred and twelve perches and the usual allowance adjoining lands of Jacob MARKEY, Robert McDANIEL and others To have and to hold the said attract overlay and incantation containing two hundred and twenty five acres and one hundred and twelve perches and allowance and premises with the apprentices to the said William BADDERS into his heirs and assigns forever: and all the estate, all right, title, interest property claims and demand being the same land and premises of the said George BADDERS at the time at his death for his own proper use, benefit and behoof as full and complete as the same were at that time held by him, and for as great and perfect a right to the same as the said George BADDERS had in the same, at the time at his death and for no other or greater. In testimony whereof this said Levi BADDERS administrator as aforesaid has here unto said his hand and seal this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty three.
