All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rosalie Sommer sommer@suscom.net March 31, 2006, 12:12 am Fawn township Written: August 19, 1839 Recorded: October 11, 1839 DEED 3Q, page 34-35 York County, Pennsylvania Grantor (seller): John GODFRAY of Fawn township Grantee (buyers): Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS written: August 19, 1839 recorded: October 11, 1839 location: Fawn township, Baltimore Road runs through land acres: 28 acres and 64 perches, part of a tract of land 64 acres and 59 perches cost: $306.74 history of land: Mary ARMSTRONG deed March 17, 1806 of 64 acres and 59 perches ------- This Indenture made this 19th day of August eighteen hundred and thirty nine between John GODFREY of the township of Fawn and the State of Pennsylvania over the one hand and Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS of the same place of their part Witnesseth that the said John GODFRAY for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and six dollars and seventy four cents current money of the United States to have been hand paid by the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS and delivery of these presents the next and payment whereof he does hereby acknowledge and aquit and forever discharge the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS their heirs executors and administrators by their presence have granted bargains sold aliened and scoffed released and confirmed and by their presence doth Grant bargain sell alien and scoff released and confirm onto the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS and to their heirs and assigns sell online and scoff released and confirm unto the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS into their heirs and assigns All that the following described tract of land lying and being situate in Fawn Township aforesaid bounded and limited as follows viz: beginning at a white oak by land of Benjamin FORD South eighty degrees east twenty one and sixth tenths perches stones thence Jam. BOYD South thirty three and one half degrees west nine and two tenths perches to Chestnut thence South forty three degrees east six and four tenths perches to stones thence South one and one quarter degrees east nine and two tenths perches to stones thence South eighty nine and one half degrees east thirty perches to stones thence by the Baltimore Road South thirteen degrees east thirty three perches to stones thence by said Road South one quarter degrees east nineteen and eight tenths perches to Chestnut thence south for degrees west forty one and for tenths perches to stones thence by land of Conrad and David BADDERS north thirty six degrees west forty eight perches to stones thence North seventy seven degrees east nineteen perches to stones thence by land of Benjamin FORD North eighteen and three quarter degrees west thirty perches to stones thence North twenty four and one half degrees east eleven and three tenths perches to the place of beginning containing twenty eight acres and sixty perches and the allowance of some held out for roads and highways the same being part of a tract of land of sixty four acres and fifty nine perches and allowance to such became largely vested in a certain Mary ARMSTRONG and whereas the said Mary ARMSTRONG by her deed duly executed bearing date the 17th day of March eighteen hundred and six conveyed and assign to the aforesaid John GODFRAY the aforesaid tract of sixty four acres and fifty nine perches and allowance for a valuable consideration by reference to said deed made more fully and at large appear. The former tract being part of the latter tract together with all and singular the building improvements for rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. The revisions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate rights title interest --- claim and demands whatsoever of him the said John GODFRAY in law equity or otherwise whatsoever of the same to him to have and to hold. The said tracts of 20 acres and 64 purchase and the hereditaments and premises hereby granted were mentioned or intended to be with the appurtenances unto the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS and their heirs and assigns to the only--- and benefits and behoof of the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS and their heirs and assigns forever. And the John GODFRAY and his heirs and executors and administrators to hereby covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS and their heirs and assigns by them here unto that the said John GODFRAY his heirs in the above mentioned and described tracks of twenty acres and sixty four perches and with the premises hereby granted or mentioned were intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS their heirs and assigns against the said John GODFRAY and his heirs and against all at any other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the above described tract of twenty acres and sixty four perchesto and allowance and shall and will warrant and forever defend by their presence. In witnesses whereof this said the parties to their presents have here with interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. The aforesaid John GODFRAY conveys the above tract of land to the said the Conrad BADDERS and David BADDERS subject nonetheless to conveyed by John John GODFREY to Jam. BOYD this is ---ted before signed.
