All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rosalie Sommer sommer@suscom.net October 26, 2005, 6:37 pm Hopewell township, York county, Pennsylvania Written: January 22, 1818 Recorded: January 29, 1818 Deed Docket N, page 227 Bill of Sale George HOSTLER & wife sold goods to Conrad NOON 22 Jan 1818 York County Archives, York, PA (transcribed from original 3 September 2002 Rosalie Sommer) George HOSLER - Conrad NOON KNOW all men by these presents that I George HOSLER of Hopewell township in the County of York and State of Penna. for and in consideration of the sum of seventy four dollars and twenty five cents to me and to my (un?) said at and previous to the date hereto by Conrad NOON for the same place here granted bargained and sold unto the said Conrad NOON as satisfaction for and payment of the same the following described property being now in my custody of possession viz. one red cow for the sum of sixteen dollars $16.00. one Loom and all the tacklings thereunto appertaining for the sum of twenty four dollars 24.00. one stove for the sum of six dollars 6.00 one table for the sum of two dollars & fifty cents 2.50. one small bed and bedding for the sum of one dollar fifty cts 1.50 one large bed bedstead and bedding for the sum of twelve dollars 12.00. one lot of corn for the sum of six dollars 6.00. one churn and Potrack for one dollar and seventy five cts. 1.75. Sundry articles of Kitchen furniture for the sum of four dollars and fifty cents 4.50 -- $74.25.. IN WITNESS, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of January Anna Domini one thousand eight hundred and eighteen. Signature: unrecognizable but is George HOSLER (looks like Jonig FaClenn) Witnesses present: Alexander WALLACE Samuel NOON York County Ss. Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County personally came George HOSLER who had executed this within Instrument of writing on Bill of Sale and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and as such desired that it may be entered on record and further declareth that the said sale is not made by collusion or with or design to defraud creditors but that he hath actually received to his use the within mentioned sum of money. In WITNESS where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of January A. D. one thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
