All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Susan Patt York Co PA Deed F-333 between Ulrich Hostettler & Michael Dotterer 17 July 1775 This indenture made the fourteenth day of o (sic) July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five Between Ulrich Hostettler of Germany Township in the County of York in the province of Pennsylvania Yeoman of the one part and Michael Dotterer of the Township County and province aforesaid Yeoman of the other part Whereas the said Ulrick Hostettler in and by his certain bond of writing obligatory under his hand and seal bearing won (sic) date herewith stands held and firmly bound unto the said Michael Dotterer his Executors Administrators or Assigns in the sum of fifty five pounds fifteen shillings money of Pennsylvania Conditioned for the payment of the sum of money seven pounds seventeen shillings and six pence like money with the interest on or before the fourteenth day of January next Ensuing the date hereof now this Indenture witnesseth the the (sic) said Ulrich Hostettler in order the Better to Secure to the said Michael Dotterer of his Assigns the said sum of twenty seven pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence money aforesaid with its interest at the day and time above mentioned and for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings to him in hand paid by the said Michael Dotterer at or before the execution hereof the receipt and payment whereof he the said Ulrich Hostettler doth hereby acknowledge hath in fair and open market granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth in fair and open market grant bargain and sell and deliver two thousand sheaffs of wheat one thousand sheaffs of rye one black mare two yearling heifers, one old Wagon and one plough and irons which goods and chattels are now on the plantation of Anna Maria Hosteter (sic) the mother of the said Ulrick Hostettler in the Township aforesaid with all the interest use, trust, property, claim, challenge, or demand whatsoever of him the said Ulrich Hostettler, or his heirs of in and to the same To have and to hold the Within mentioned goods and chattles to the use and behoof of the said Michael Dotterer his heirs and assigns forever provided nevertheless and this present grant is upon this condition that if the Within named Ulrich Hostettler or any person for him do and shalll well and tryly assign the within mentioned debt or sujm of twenty seven pounds seventeen shillings and sixpence with its interest on the day and time within mentioned for payment thereof without fraudor further delay according to the condition of the said ridio (?) obligation, then these presents and everything herein contained with the said obligation and a warrant of attorney to confess judgment thereon shall leave determine and become and be absolutely null and void to all intents and purposes whatsoever anything erein before contained to the contrary thereof inany wise notwithstanding in Witness whereof the said parties, to these presents have hereto put their hands and seals dated the day and year first within written sealed and delivered in presence of us Ulrich Hostettler (German signature) seal Jno (?) Bonde Rachel Bonde York County---personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Court of Common Pleas for the said County the Above and within named Ulrich Hostettler and acknowledged the above and within writing to be his act and was to the intent the same may be entered of record according to law Witness my hand and seal this 11th day of July 1775 R Malisir (?) handwritten in very small writing along the left margin. "I Michael Dotterer Junior, Administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels of Michael Dotterer Senior the Mortgage mentioned in the annexed Indenture of _____ name and was aforesaid, do hereby acknowledge ____ of my own ____ the said Michael Dotterer Junior in his Life Time did receive full __ __ of the debt principal & interest of the annexed Mortgaged Monies; And therefore I the said Michael Dotterer Junior as Administrator aforesaid Do hereby discharge the __ ___ Witness my hand the 11 Day of August 1779.
