Barnitz who authenticated the signatures of the two witnesses Recorded 7 April 1814 Pennsylvania State Archives, York County, Pennsylvania Deeds, Book 2Z, Pages 115-117, 1 April 1814 Deed, Michael Reidinger and wife to Peter Leckron Abstract: Michael Reidinger of West Manchester Township in the County of York and State of Pennsylvania, farmer and Castrator, and Mary his wife to Peter Leckron of Dover Township, County of York and State of Pennsylvania ; 749 pounds, 4 shillings and 6 pence for "all that Messuage, Tenement and two following described tracts of land …" [Note: messuage means "the portion of land intended to be or actually occupied as a site for a dwelling house and its appurtenances"] one tract in West Manchester Township begins at a white oak, N 67 ˝ W 135 7/10 perches with the original line to a stone, S 45 W 29 6/10 perches with the original tract line to a stone, S 54 ˝ E with the lands of Michael Bentz 116 perches to a post. N 45 E 63 4/10 perches with the lands of Peter Lindt to the beginning containing 31 acres 47 perches and allowance; second tract in Dover township, begins at a heap of stones, S 28 E 30 perches with the lands of Philip Henry to a chestnut, S 72 W 129 perches by the lands of George Ritterrecht to a heap of stones, N 38 W 31 perches by the lands of Jacob Hoffman to a heap of stones, N 72 E 134 perches with the other part of the whole tract belonging to William Willis to the beginning; containing 22 acres 87 perches, this tract part of the Patent to Willis, Book 25, page 188; "It appears the right and titles of both the above described tracts by sundry misc. conveyances became vested in Stephen Reidinger who died intestate leaving lawful issue to survive him to whom the same descended.
