That he served several years in this regiment, and enlisted a second time for ‘during the war’ in Captain Fishburn’s company on Colonel Horner’s regiment of the Pennsylvania line, and that he continued in service during the war, and was discharged in Philadelphia in 1783. That he has lost his discharge. That he is a citizen of the United States, now resident in Pennsylvania and that he is in reduced circumstances in life in need of assistance from his country for support. That he is about 60 years of age.” York County, PA, 31st of July, 1820, Jacob McClean, aged 62 years: “That he served in the Revolutionary War as follows: In Colonel Housecher’s regiment called the German regiment in the company commanded by Captain Benjamin Weiser from July 1776 until the year 1779, when he was discharged. That the date of his original application for a pension is May 28th, 1818…” “Real property-none, personal, none, mixed, none. My occupation is that of a laborer. I can work but little.
