YORK GAZETTE Mar 20, 1877 YHSS roll#619 Under the heading GONE WEST- on Monday of last week, quite a number of families, we understand, from Washington township, this county, took the cars in York, en-route for Kansas, where they intend to settle. Harry Fickes and Milton Gotwalt, son of Andrew Gotwalt, also left the same day for Iowa, with similar intent. Joel Fisher, Mrs. Mary Gotwalt, widow of George Gotwalt, of York, Samuel Landis, of Spring Garden and Mrs. Charlotte Moore and family, widow of the late George Moore, will leave for Iowa, in April. We understand that Mrs. Gross, the General Agent in York, has procurred thirteen tickets for York families who intend to migrate to Kansas. F.H.
