All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Items From the York Democratic Press, September 26, 1884 Robbery at Logansville Mr. Hildebrand’s store, in Loganville, was entered sometime during Friday night or Saturday morning and robbed of some money, postage stamps and clothing, to the value of about twenty dollars. Three persons, who had been loitering about the premises, are suspected as being the thieves. On Saturday a lot of the clothing and a postal card addressed to Mr. Hldebrand was found in the woods at Ziegle’s church, near Seven Valley, where they were covered up by leaves. No clue has yet been ascertained as to the robbers. The annual election of the Mutual Fire Insurance Company, of Dover township, York Co., Pa., was held at the house of Geo. H. Heilman, in Strinestown, on Saturday last, and the following Directors were elected for the ensuing year: Dr. Wm. Lenhart, Alfred Weaver, David Meisenhelder, George Heilman, H.S. Kochenour, Henry Haines, John Hayes, John Lease, Benjamin Kohr, John Neiman, Chas. E. Smyser, G.D. Beeler, J.H. Wogan, Edward Smyser and A.G. Throne. The Board authorize all agents of the company to send their applications to A.G. Throne, Sec’y. John Neiman, President. Address York. Sept 9-tf
