Silver Tea Sets Presented to Harry Parr and Charles Chambers. Two members of the Opera cigar store social organization, G. Harry Parr and Charles Chambers, who were recently married, were given a complete surprise last evening. About 9 o'clock the club members and a few invited friends assembled in the rear room of Lerew's cigar store, South Beaver street, for the purpose of presenting each of the above gentlemen with a handsome solid silver tea set, upon which the following inscription was engraved: "Presented by the members of the Opera Cigar Store club." Mr. William Roehm, in well chosen remarks made the presentation speech. Messrs. Parr and Chambers responded in feeling manner expressing their gratitude for the kindness extended to them and assured their fellow members the gifts were fully appreciated. MARRIED KEESEY-ZARFOSS - On November 2, 1899, at Duke Street M. E. parsonage, by Rev. W. P. Eveland, Ph. D., Mr. C. F. Keesey and Miss Mary A. Zarfoss, both of Chanceford. BROSE-GEMMILL - On October 29, 1899, at Shrewsbury, by Rev. A. M. Heilman, Mr. James C. Brose and Miss Fannie B. Gemmill, both of near Stewartstown. WORKINGER-RIEDEL - On November 2, 1899, at Shrewsbury, by Rev. A. M. Heilman, Mr. Jacob D. Workinger and Miss Alice J. Riedel, both of Dallastown. DIED YOST - On November 2, 1899, at his late residence in Shrewsbury, Charles K. Yost, aged 87 years. LECRONE - On November 2, 1899, at 7:30 p.m., Peter B. Lecrone, aged -- years, 2 months and 12 days. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to intend the funeral, services at his late residence, 210 Walnut street, on Monday afternoon, November 6, at 1:30 o'clock. Interment at Greenmount cemetery. MITZEL - On November 3, 1899, at 8:10 p.m., Mary Ann Mitzel, wife of John Mitzel, aged 48 years, 6 months and 10 days. BOUGHT THE HANTZ STORE. C. C. Stitzel, for six years an employee of the firm, has bought the Hantz hardware store, corner of Market and Water streets, and will in the future continue the business. BEFORE THE ALDERMAN Charles Bowers, Carson Linebaugh and two other boys named Batters and Hall, were given a hearing before Alderman T. B. Loucks last evening on the charge of malicious mischief. The case was continued until Monday evening at 7 o'clock, owing to the absence of a valuable witness. TWO RIBS BROKEN. John Greenawalt Kicked by a Horse at Lancaster. John Greenawalt, of East York, who sells mules for Michael Lanber, had a rib broken and one fractured from being kicked in the side by a horse, while attending to business at Lancaster. The accident occurred Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. After the injured members had been properly dressed Mr. Greenawalt mounted a horse and rode to York. He arrived home last evening. The fortitude shown by Mr. Greenawalt is remarkable.
