Brenner, 535 Rouse avenue. The contracting parties were Robert Platts, son of George Platts, and nephew of Alderman Platts, and Miss Bertha A. Brenner, daughter of George W. and Mary A. Brenner. Rev. P. Livingstone, pastor of St. Mark's Luthern church, officiated. Following were the guests present: Alderman W. M. Platts and wife, Officer Thomas Platts and wife, Mr. Geo Platts and wife, Mr. George Brenner and wife, Mr. Henry Siller and wife, Mr. Charles Fraeth and wife, Mr. Luther Platts, Mr. W. M. Logeman, Mr. David Sailor, Winfield Fry, David Fry, Richard Siller, Samuel Feder, Paul Platts, Misses Edith Brenner, Lulu Brenner, Bertha Greenawalt, Minnie Platts, Ray Feder, Annie Zinn, Caroline Maure, Bessie Scolls, Lizzie Siller, Mrs. Annie Frank, Mrs. Alice Frank, Harrisburg guests: Mrs. Geo. LICENSED TO WED Clerk of the Courts Stoner issued the following marriage licenses: Augustus L. Hickman and Lucy Brillhart. Willis C. Rohrbaugh and Cora Snyder. Paul M. Markel and Mary Alice Little. LETTERS GRANTED Register Barnhart has granted the following: Letters of administration d. b. n. c. t. a. on the estate of Rebecca Schmuck, late of York city, to Gable Marks. BRIEF LOCAL EVENTS Henry Eichelberger, of Jefferson borough, has been appointed fireman at the court house. James Sulivan, organizer Federation of Trades Union, will deliver a lecture in Codorus Hall Saturday night, at 7:30 o'clock. The residence of Rev. O. P. Shellhamer, on West Philadelphia street, has been connected with the York Telephone lines. His number is 115, B. The old log house on North Water street which was owned by Jacob Cockes, has been torn down. This house was one of the oldest in York. Dr. Basenore has purchased the property and is preparing for the erection of two modern dwelling houses. TODAY'S FUNERALS Mrs. J. Vincent M'Cauley The funeral of Mrs. J. Vincent McCauley, took place this morning from her father's residence, George Flemming, 1443 Monroe street, Eberton. High Mass of Requiem was celebrated at St. Patrick's church and conducted by Rev. Father Hooman. Brothers of the deceased acted as pall bearers. Interment was made at St. Patrick's cemetery. Frederick W. Nickol The funeral of Frederick W. Nickol was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence, No. 454 East Market street. Rev. George Stibitz conducted the services at the house. The pall bearers were selected from among his companions, the Nes chain works, where he was employed, and York Castle, No. 34, A. O. K. of M. C., twelve in number. The interment was made at Prospect Hill cemetery.
