Anders, 634 West Market street. Miss Mary J. Weiser, a student at Rodger's Hall seminary, Lowell, Mass., is spending a brief vacation at the home of her father, William F. Weiser, 539 Linden avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Witmyer and daughter, Miss Lillian, and Mrs. E. Lucking, have returned from New Cumberland, where they spent several days with relatives and friends. Miss Theodore Laverty has returned to her home in Middletown, Dauphin county, after spending several days in this city with relatives. Mrs. M. J. Martin, 414 West York avenue, is visiting her sister, Mrs. P. J. Bare, in Camden, N.J. Mrs. G. D. Spangler and Mrs. Anna Rile, of Lower Chanceford township, were the guests yesterday at the hom of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Famous, 52 Carlisle avenue. Rev. R. R. Rodes, pastor of the Fifth United Brethren church, North York, is spending several days in Harrisburg on business. Mrs. C. I. Saylor, of Falton, was the guest yesterday of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Mitzel, North George street, North York. George Windemyer, North George street, North York, returned home Monday from a several days' trip to New York. Miss Emma Eshleman, of Lancaster, who has been visiting relatives in this city and Hanover, returned home yesterday much pleased with her trip. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Caldwell, 329 Smyser street, will leave for Hanover today, where they will spend several days on business. PAUL GILBERT ELECTED PRESIDENT OF MOTOR CLUB Paul J. Gilbert was elected president of the York Motor club at the annual meeting of the organization at the club house along the Wrightsville pike, east of the city, last evening. The other officers selected were as follows: First vice president, H. Kister Free; second vice president, J. W. Heinakamp; directors, Dr. W. F. Bacon, Charles S. White, Joseph L. Gilbert and A. S. Fix. The meeting was well attended and the members are enthusiastic over the prospects for a busy season which will open very shortly.
