Movings are plentiful in Dover and the vicinity, and Postmaster Heifer is kept busy keeping tabs on his patrons as a result. William Warner moved from the Wolf farm to the home he purchased recently on East Canal street. One dollar and thirty-six cents was the price paid per pound for pork on the foot at the sale of George Stambaugh yesterday by Z. B. Toomey of this place. The pigs are four in number and are of the Berkshire kind with good pedigrees. There were four of them weighing about fifteen pounds apiece. The price paid for the quartet was $100. Earl Wallace, the eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wallace, is in a critical condition suffering from an attack of meningitis. Little hope is entertained for the boy's recovery. Mr. Wallace resides about one mile from Eastmount. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Melhorn, Conewago township, is on the sick list suffering from a complication of diseases. Miss Catharine Beck is recovering from a spell of sickness. Mrs. Levi Ellcker, a seventy-year-old resident of Rossville, suffered a painful injury to her right leg yesterday, when she was assisting to drive the cows at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. E. Myers, of Kralltown, where she was visiting at the time. One of the animals squeezed her against a trough, badly bruising her thigh. She was attended by a physician and later returned to her home. Mrs. Alexander Livingstone, of Davidsburg, who has been on the sick list for some time, is somewhat improved. Ezra Krone has moved from this place to the Smyser farm in Dover township. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker is seriously sick from an attack of pneumonia. Lillie Snellbecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snellbecker, is suffering from an attack of pneumonia. BIRTHDAY PARTY PARKE, March 19 - A party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hough, last Friday evening, March 12, in honor of their daughter, Emma's eighteenth birthday anniversary. Games were played during the evening. Refreshments were served. Miss Haugh received many presents.
