Grove, Pennsylvania avenue, is convalescing from an attack of illness which has confined him to his home several weeks. Miss Grace Royston, of Elmwood, is confined to her home suffering from a complication of diseases. She is reported to be in a critical condition. Mrs. Emma Warner, 227 South West street, who has been suffering several weeks from the effects of a nervous breakdown, is reported to be greatly improved. The condition of George Warner, Pattison street, who has been confined to his home, several weeks by a severe illness is reported to be improved. Mrs. Wilbert Strickler, Reinecke place, who has been confined to her home several weeks by a severe illness, is reported to be improved. PICNICS AND OUTINGS Miss Jeannette P. Gemmill, 201 South Pine street, is spending a several weeks’ outing at a bungalow at Braddock Heights near Frederick, Md. Frank Osler and Harry Warner, of North Duke street, returned home recently from a several days’ fishing trip along the Susquehanna river below McCall’s Ferry. They report a good-sized catch. John H. Cochrane, proprietor of the Cochrane brass foundry, East Wallace street, will tender his employes (sic) an outing of two days. The party will leave York today at 5:37 a.m., via the Pennsylvania railroad for Baltimore, where, they will immediately embark on the steamer Louise and go to Tolchester beach. They will return to Baltimore in the evening and will be guests of Mr. Cochrane at one of the leading theatres. Sunday will be spent at Riverview park and they will return to York in the evening. The expense of the outing will be borne by Mr. Cochrane in appreciation of faithful services rendered him by the foundry employees during the past year. The members of the Q. R. C. Camping club who are spending two weeks at Boyd’s bungalow along the Big Conewago creek, near the trolley bridge, will entertain about thirty of their friends tomorrow afternoon. Special arrangements have been perfected by the chaperons, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Bender, for the occasion. The members of the club are: Misses Pearl Hoy, Eva Hoy, Gracy Hoy, Cora Kinter, Ida Stitely, Hope Fink, Howard Reisinger, ohn (sic) Morrison, Harvey W. Strayer, Paul Fitzgerald, Raymond Reisinger, and Mr. and Mrs. Otis W. Bender.
