Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Murray have purchased the house in which they are now living on South Baltimore street, from G. E. Seibert. John D. Jenkins was elected president of the Board of County Commissioners at the reorganization Monday. Harold, son of Rev. Dr. A. S. Fasick, operated upon a few weeks ago, and at one time considered in a critical condition, has recovered and Tuesday left for Depaw University to resume his studies. Quinton T. Klinedinst, driver of the Wellsville stage, is again on duty, after an illness of several months. He is looking fine. Mrs. J. B. Spera, of North Baltimore Street, has been quite ill the past week. Mrs. William Seibert, of South Baltimore Street, is critically ill. S. S. Sheffer, of the Cook Grain, Feed and Supply Company, is quite ill with la grippe and was unable to attend his father's funeral on Thursday morning. Mrs. Walter S. Sheaffer and son William have been ill the past week. B. H. Shriner is out again, after being ill with the grippe. Miss Martha Mayberry has been spending a few days with Rev. J. W. Long and family, at Clearfield, Pa. Owing to the illness of the Teller, R. B. Nelson, and Cashier, D. w. Beitzel, on Monday, M. Clarence Thumma, the Bookkeeper, and Ira L. Heikes worked on the books until one o'clock Tuesday morning. They have recovered and are all at their desks again. Mrs. W. C. Heiges, Mrs. T. B. Smith and Charles Morris were called to York on Sunday night, on account of the serious sickness of their brother, John Morris, who has been very ill for about a week. Daniel Smith left on Monday for El Paso, Texas, after spending a two months furlough with his brother, J. O. Smith. Mr. Smith will again join Co. H, Sixteenth regiment, U. S. regulars. This will be his fourth enlistment. He has seen service in Alaska, the Philippines and Cuba. Mrs. Tillie Bentzel, and aged resident of this place, is seriously sick.
